Friday Bitch & Brag*
January 10, 2025 - The Fire & Ice Edition: loss, community, and snuggly cats
Access to The Corinne Channel is for paid subscribers and features a roundup of what I’ve been consuming over the past week, from eats & drinks to media. It’s included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.
Looking for an older edition of B&B? Check out the index of Friday Bitch and Brag here or by clicking the button below.
I have been so tired & distracted for the last couple days that once again, Friday B&B is late. Let’s gather ‘round…
Bitch: At the end of the week I found out that Pops’ favorite cousin lost his home in the Eaton Fire in Altadena, as did his daughter and her family. (There’s a GoFundMe if you feel inclined to donate.) So many L.A. and SoCal landmarks are gone or at risk of destruction, and it breaks my heart.
Brag:
wrote a wonderful piece on how Southern Californians are coming together to provide mutual aid and that is truly a blessing.Support A Life of Moxie on Substack by…

Bitch: Yet again I had to deal with BS when reissuing my SSL certificates for two of my websites. I need to set reminders at the 60-day mark to use my website host’s easy reissue service, because after 30 days I have to do it the hard annoying way. I will not bore you with details.
Brag: All that time off for snow and icy roads meant lots of snuggle time with Rooney in the mornings. Coffee, my journal, and cat snuggles make for a wonderful start to the day.
Go paid for only $5/month
I’ve lowered the cost for paid subscriptions for A Life of Moxie. For $5/month or $50 for one year, get access to any subscriber-exclusive content, the Corinne Channel at the end of every Friday Bitch & Brag, plus the ability to comment on all posts.
You can also make a one-time donation on PayPal or Venmo.
Bitch: I spent way too much time fighting with a latex booty band during a Fitness with PJ workout that I probably burned more calories than usual. The damn things roll up and don’t stay in place. Maybe next time I curse more and it will stay where it’s supposed to.
Brag: Two coworkers at Wagstaff told me they will give me a ride home whenever I’m without a car, even though it’s not on their way home. I feel very blessed to have made some great connections at this job, and I remind myself of this whenever I get frustrated with other shenanigans at school.
This week on The Corinne Channel: a BONUS bitch & brag, two whodunit films, plant-based yums, and more!
