Not in the best of moods today, as you likely guessed from the subtitle, but that’s why we bitch and brag, dear readers. A special welcome to all the new subscribers thanks to the link love from

Men Yell at Me
on Sunday. Let’s gather ‘round!

Bitch: Hard to continue celebrating my birth month when I come down with…whatever this cough, fever, stuffy nose thing is. I don’t have any COVID tests on hand—gave my stash to HM last month when he was sick, and I suspect he tossed them in a wild and rare cleaning spree—but I ordered 8 free tests yesterday. In the meantime I am resting a lot and grumbling about how unfair it is to get sick twice in less than three months. (I had a bad cold in January.)

Brag: I updated my personal website after several weeks of putting it on my to-do list, and next up is my professional website.

If you feel like getting your favorite writer Corinne a little birthday something (other than a paid subscription), here are some wish list links. (You can also send a donation via PayPal or Venmo.)

Bitch: Recently I learned that GrubHub+ is free for a year to Amazon Prime members. Since I’m a fan of getting my money’s worth out of the services I already paid for, on Tuesday I signed up & placed a food order from a local Mexican restaurant I like. However, when my order arrived, the items in my combination platter weren’t the same as what was listed on the GrubHub menu—and when I checked against the restaurant’s website menu, sure enough, there was a difference. (A chimichanga is not the same as a taquito, my friends.) For a long time, I had a feeling that many restaurants don’t update their online delivery menus in conjunction with their in-house ones, and this confirmed it.

Brag: There are a higher-than-usual number of people I want to curse out for various reasons and I have refrained from doing so. Enough said.

Paid subscriptions are a key component of my income. Now through February 20, get 40% off monthly and annual subscriptions! That’s under $5/month or $42 for a year.

Bitch: Ippie is feeling much better, fortunately, but now she is blowing her coat and there are tumbleweeds of grey cat hair everywhere. I also think she’s mad at me for kicking her out of the bed this morning, because her presence under the blankets was making it difficult for me to get comfortable.

Ippie on top of the fridge because it’s an excellent vantage point for judging me

Brag: I am thrilled that
