Exclusive for paid subscribers: the Corinne Channel is a roundup of what I’ve been reading, watching, and listening to over the past week. This list will be included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

I had a negative COVID test on Tuesday, but still have some fatigue and coughing. Keep your masks on and circle up!
Bitch: Instacart strikes again, and this time I feel like it’s telling me to eat more damn vegetables. Instead of getting the 10 ounce salad mix I requested (and marked my replacement options in the same size), I got a pound, and instead of a reasonable sized bag of broccoli (or the single broccoli crown I marked as a suitable replacement), I got a 32 ounce bag of broccoli florets.
Brag: All these veggies mean I’m pretty regular, so there’s that.
Being sick for half of February meant my income took a major hit. I hope you’ll consider a paid subscription. You can also send a donation via PayPal or Venmo.
Bitch: If you’re a Microsoft Word user, you probably noticed the default font was changed to Aptos. I had just gotten used to Calibri, dammit, and the only Aptos I’m interested in is the city in Santa Cruz County, California, which the font was named for. I did Ctrl-A to change the font on a few documents, then finally…
Brag: …I decided that I am a grown-ass woman who pays good money for Microsoft Office and I can use whatever font I want, so I changed the default font to Arial 11 pt. How you like them kernings now, bitches?!
Paid subscriptions are a key component of my income. Try out a monthly subscription for $7, cancel at any time.
Bitch: This week marked a year since the death of my BFF Emily’s mom, Anna. Emily has been sharing lots of old photos and family stories, which softens the grief a little.
Brag: Last weekend I felt well enough to bust out the sewing repairs bag, where I stashed all the various items that needed hemming, patching, or other fixes, and got a few things done. I also rethreaded my serger, which is not an easy task but definitely rewarding. (If you know, you know.)
This week on The Corinne Channel: moving covers of old favorite tunes, a novel with a familiar premise, and more!
