The end of a wonky week, all thanks to DST, messing up sleep schedules since 1918—but more on that in a minute. Circle up, folks!
Bitch: All damn week my sleep patterns were off, and normally I wouldn’t blame the start of Daylight Saving Time, but this year I am. I would get tired around 9 pm or so, but wind up faffing about online for 2-3 hours or watching shows and then I couldn’t get up the next day. I am so over this nonsense.
Brag: Last weekend I went to Shop Made in Maryland and purchased a couple bags of Moore Crunch Pretzels, which I’d heard about online several months ago. Its founder, Marcus, is a Black man with autism who decided to form his own pretzel company as a means of earning an income doing something he loves. I got the Garlic Ranch and Cinnamon Sugar flavors and they are so, so good that I turned into one of those people who makes a video in their car.
Being sick for half of February meant my income took a major hit. I hope you’ll consider a paid subscription. You can also send a donation via PayPal or Venmo.
Bitch: Why are there no posted speed limit signs near High Point High School on westbound Powder Mill Road? I know this is a very niche Bitch for many readers, but this has been bugging me for years. On Monday, I finally confirmed that there aren’t any speed limit signs, even though there are signs telling drivers about photo/camera enforcement. It’s only until after you are past the main entrance to the school that there’s a 40 MPH limit sign—and to me that still seems too high, because you’re not completely past the school at that point.
Brag: Back in January I was bitching about the new Litter Genie Jumbo Refills and questioning whether or not they actually fit in the standard Litter Genie, which I own. I decided to take a chance and buy the Jumbo Refill—and it does fit! Unfortunately the refill does not come with someone to scoop the litter box or clean up the pee dribbled on the side by your boy cat with bad aim.

Bitch: I didn’t watch the Oscars, but I’m still going to bitch that Lily Gladstone didn’t win for Best Actress. Don’t get me started on the mess that is Poor Things. I was troubled when I saw trailers for that movie, and even more troubled when I learned it was yet another Pygmalion-esque story. No thank you.
Brag: Spring blooms are in abundance in my neighborhood and this makes me happy, even if I know the little flowers have rushed the season through no fault of their own (shakes fist at climate change) and will end up freezing in a few days, when the nighttime temps get below 30 degrees.
This week on The Corinne Channel: spin off series, strange new shows, and more!
