Exclusive for paid subscribers: the Corinne Channel is a roundup of what I’ve been reading, watching, and listening to over the past week. This list will be included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

Yes, this week’s edition is a spin on the new Taylor Swift album that dropped at midnight. Because if you’re still using this platform after all the drama of the last six months, you’re likely tortured about it. Let’s circle up!
Bitch: My right shoulder continues to hurt intermittently, as does my right foot. Going in for my annual physical next Friday, so my 30-second whinefest to my new doctor will include these issues.
Brag: Last Sunday I went to my sewing group meetup and had a great time with my fellow sewists, laughing and talking about all sorts of topics. I really needed social interaction with people I know and like, and that meetup fit the bill.
Bonus Item: Yesterday afternoon, Ippie took advantage of the window I opened for her & Rooney’s benefit, and managed to push out the window screen enough to get outside. Fortunately I nabbed her right by the front door, as apparently she was distracted by something under the bushes.
Bitch: This week, my Instacart shopper bought parsley instead of cilantro, which I didn’t discover until I’d already started prepping salsa in the blender…
Brag: …but she was such a pleasant person when she delivered my groceries that we talked for several minutes and exchanged numbers. Hoping to connect at some point for a walk.

Bitch: I’m looking for W2 employment again, as I lost one long-time client at the end of 2023 when they hired a part-time person, and last week another long-time client asked for a reduced fee. I am nervous about finding a job where I feel valued & challenged (not to mention work I like) at this point in my life, and it’s hard to not feel like a failure…
Brag: …but reading through some journals from 2010-2012, my early years of self-employment, I realize I have had many successes over the last 15 years. I achieved some professional goals with magazine writing and PR, and I was part of organizing and/or promoting several events, from fundraisers to trade shows to expos. Even though there were many moments of financial struggle, there are many accomplishments for me to be proud of, and I need to take that pride & confidence with me into whatever comes next.
This week on The Corinne Channel: marriage and divorce in America, a new album from a Marylander, witchy documentary, and more!
