Access to The Corinne Channel is for paid subscribers and features a roundup of what I’ve been consuming over the past week, from eats & drinks to media. It’s included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

Friday Bitch & Brag Index

Coming in late for the past week but still here. Let’s circle up!

Bitch: Going back to school on Tuesday was challenging as I neglected to spend 2-3 days ahead of time getting back on my regular sleep schedule.

Brag: After three-plus years I finally finished my small black denim/floral print messenger bag! I had been dicking around with the denim strap for way too long, as I wanted an adjustable strap but the directions I’d found for making one were geared more toward purses made with lighter weight materials. I stopped getting in my own way and figured it out. I’d also added a zipper to the main compartment, but it was overkill so I removed the zipper—shout out to my trusty seam ripper. The construction is not perfect, but as my friend Emily would say, it cannot be seen from a galloping horse.

Black denim and Papa Pique et Maman Coud cotton print messenger bag style purse. So happy with this bag!

Bitch: Insomnia, migraines & nightmares took me OUT on Wednesday morning, so I called in sick. I hate having to use sick leave for illness that does not involve gastrointestinal distress or mucus, but I did need to rest and regroup away from yelly middle schoolers.

Brag: I used my time at home to add new products to the Busy Birdies Studio website and update my inventory. My plan is to set up shop at a few markets in the second half of the year & see how things go.

Bitch: Part of prepping for Busy Birdies Studio event participation involves buying display stands, a tent, tables, etc. I ordered a 3-pack of acrylic tabletop displays and one of the three has a crack in the base. It’s still functional, but I will need to notify the manufacturer, which is a hassle.

Brag: I’d been wanting some new, whimsical Keds for a few weeks as an alternative to my all-white Sketchers. I found a metallic foil pair on their website for under $30 and ordered them on Good Friday. The order arrived on Easter Sunday—way earlier than originally estimated—and these shoes are super fun to wear.

Keds Triple Up Metallic Foil lace-up shoes - I feel so fancy!

This week on The Corinne Channel: a BONUS bitch & brag, gas station food, fancy chocolate, award-winning sitcom returns for another season, and more!
