Exclusive for paid subscribers: the Corinne Channel is a roundup of what I’ve been reading, watching, and listening to over the past week. This list will be included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

Sure, it may be National Donut Day, but that won’t stop me from bitchin’ and braggin’. Let’s get to it, kids! Circle up!
Bitch: Hulu logged me out this week and I had to get new login info from my source who shall remain anonymous, and I was convinced they had cut the seasons of “M*A*S*H” in half, because weren’t there at least 20 seasons?…
Brag: …then I used this thing called Google and found out that no, actually, there were only 11 seasons of the sitcom and I’m not missing anything. (“M*A*S*H” reruns are my comfort watch, even if I find some of the content problematic more than 40 years after the series originally aired.)
Bonus Item: Pops had a successful cataract removal on Wednesday and you can read a little bit about that experience here:
Bitch: Traffic was so bad leaving the surgery center where Pops had his cataract surgery that I remembered why I dislike commuting. It took us 90 minutes to go ten miles, which is ridiculous even with rainstorms.
Brag: Two baking success stories this week: a rhubarb pie with homemade crusts for Pops, and carrot cake blondies for HM (his birthday is this weekend). These were new recipes for me and both turned out very tasty, getting the seal of approval from their recipients.

Bitch: I was super nervous going into my first substitute teaching gig today, thinking I was crazy for even considering the idea of subbing. I couldn’t sleep last night, I was riddled with anxiety…
Brag: …and it was deceptively easy, even with a plot twist of subbing for a local high school’s beloved STEM teacher rather than social studies. I wound up subbing for only two classes, with the first class focused on finishing projects, and the second essentially cancelled because its sole student brought an early dismissal note, as she had a family emergency. I had several friends & family reassure me over text that I would do great, and between those messages and my own mental reminders of all the hard things I’ve done in the past, I felt much more comfortable today. Next week: middle school English class!
This week on The Corinne Channel: memoirs by beloved comedians, detective shows, and more!
