Friday Bitch & Brag: Double Header
June 13 & 20, 2025 - The School Is Out Edition: baseball, sciatica & late deliveries
Access to The Corinne Channel is for paid subscribers and features a roundup of what I’ve been consuming over the past week, from eats & drinks to media. It’s included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

It’s gonna be a hot one this coming week so let’s get the bitchin’ and braggin’ for the last two weeks out of the way. Circle up!
Bitch: Back on June 6, I reported that my right hamstrings felt strained or pulled, and I couldn’t figure out why. I did some googling and I think it’s actually a sciatica flare-up. Argh!
Brag: I’ve been elevating my knees with a pillow while I sleep, and taking ibuprofen when my leg is feeling extra painful. Both of these treatments have helped alleviate the pain.
Bitch: Mari got sick with bronchitis again to the point she had to go to the ER…
Brag: …but fortunately they caught it early enough that she didn’t have to be checked into the hospital.

Bitch: It took two hours to get a GrubHub delivery for a restaurant that is less than ten minutes from me. I got a $5 credit from them, which is more than nothing, but I’m still annoyed.
Brag: As an early Father’s Day present, I bought tickets for me and Pops to see the Detroit Tigers (his favorite team) play the Baltimore Orioles. The Tigers won 4-1, which pleased Pops.

Bitch: For the last couple weeks of school, I worked in Wagstaff’s front office and was astounded by the audacity of some parents. I get that you’re upset about something that happened to your kid, and that it’s important you resolve the issue, but the principal and/or assistant principals are not going to drop everything to take your phone call.
Brag: I made it through the entire school year, even when I didn’t think I would. I learned a lot from the experience and you better believe I’ll be writing about it. Stay tuned…
This week on The Corinne Channel: a BONUS Bitch & Brag video, last two weeks of school treats, summer vacation reads, yachties drama, and more!
