Exclusive for paid subscribers: the Corinne Channel is a roundup of what I’ve been reading, watching, and listening to over the past week. This list will be included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

School’s out, sun’s out, so put on your shorts and slather on the SPF 50 before you circle up!
Bitch: Boost Mobile has changed their app, Boost One, so that it’s way more difficult for users to earn rewards to apply to their monthly bill. For someone who’s on a tight budget, the rewards program was a great way to save money on my mobile phone bill. On top of that, their service has gotten worse lately, as I’m having way more issues with texts and reception.
Brag: This morning I finally took care of my home colorectal cancer screening kit, or what I call PoopMail (I receive the kit in the mail & have to mail it back with my sample), and for the first time in the 3+ years I’ve been doing these tests, I was able to get a clean sample without rushing to swab poop before it fell into the toilet bowl…
Bitch: …and then the toilet clogged, because the universe’s sense of humor leans toward the scatological and something has to go wrong if I’m doing the PoopMail kit.
Brag: If there are still going to be beauty pageants, then let them have winners like Bailey Anne Kennedy, who is the first Miss Maryland who is Asian American and transgender. Love seeing this news during Pride Month!
Bonus Item: The cats have gotten so much supervised outdoor kitty time in the last week that they have come to expect it, with Ippie meowing at me and pawing the sliding glass door to go out. Overall they behave themselves while we’re out on the deck, but as soon as one of them starts going down the stairs to the backyard, outdoor kitty time is over.

Bitch: Last week I saw two buzzards picking through trash that someone had put out a day early. First time I’ve seen these damn scavengers around here and they wouldn’t have been in the neighborhood if it weren’t for people putting their trash out too early.
Brag: I survived a full day of subbing at a middle school. The co-teachers assigned to the classes I covered were there to oversee any major issues, which was a huge help. Most of the kids were well-behaved, but the 6th graders in 6th period were a mix of antsy, angry, bored, and hopped up on sugar. It was the last week of school, so I think everyone was on edge a bit.
This week on The Corinne Channel: campy soapy fun, a Gen X approved documentary, cool new music for busy people, and more!
