I am taking a pajama day because my body is exhausted, and it has been a very lovely day as a result. Over the coming weeks, paid subscribers will receive exclusive posts and video content to catch them up on May’s bitching and bragging.

Let’s circle up!

Bitch: My Samsung phone keeps notifying me that in early July, I will be automagically switched to Google Messages for texting service because they are getting rid of Samsung Messages. I am not happy about this at all, and I have been researching alternative texting apps, but not finding one that checks all the boxes.

Brag: I got grades in for French classes two days ahead of schedule, and I had the classroom ready for summer before the end of the day on Thursday. I may have bribed students to help with cleanup and breakdown by promising donuts on Thursday—and I kept that promise.

Bitch: For a few months I’d noticed that one 7th grade boy who’d given me issues in the past seemed to be glaring at me every time he saw me. This week I had an opportunity to talk to him about it—turns out I had covered a class where he acted up, I left a note for the teacher, and she called home. I don’t even remember the last time I’d covered for that teacher, so you know he’d held onto that grudge for a very long time.

Brag: At the final staff meeting, I got another certificate of appreciation for my work as a daily building substitute, as well as another mug with the school mascot on it. Sadly there wasn’t any money or gift cards inside the mug.

Bitch: I got a bill from my health insurance for around $300 for some lab work, but today when I was looking at my account online, it said I now owe over $900. Um, WHAT?!

Brag: I’d been seeing ads for Mooncat nail polish for a long time, and the colors looked so gorgeous and fun. I finally placed an order for two polishes plus some other nail care supplies, and their practical packaging made me smile. The products are fantastic, too!

The box from Mooncat: two color polishes, top coat, base coat, magnet for one of the polishes, and a cleanup brush. I love this packaging!
