Summer has officially begun in the northern hemisphere, it’s Cancer season, and today is a full moon—but that’s not all that’s going on. Let’s circle up!
Bitch: In the last year or more, there was a tree that took root in the front garden, right up next to the house, and it was taller than me (I’m 5’2 on a good day). I did a Google image search on the tree and found out it was considered an invasive species, so I knew it needed to come down…
Brag: …and last Saturday I got the tree trimmer from downstairs, plus the small pruning shears, and trimmed that tree way down. No photos of the before and after, and no video of me yelling “Yeah baby, yeah!” when I cut through the base of the tree after trimming off all the branches. The root still needs to be removed, and I may brave that task myself or leave it to a professional or HM, who is super strong.
Rooney and I need your help
My cat Rooney has been dealing with several health issues that are getting progressively worse, and I need to get him to the vet—but I need some help in paying for his care. Click here or the button below to read more.
Bitch: It is stupid hot outside. STUPID. HOT.
Brag: After months of procrastinating and looking at the DenTek box on my shelf, I finally did a fitting of the night guard I’m supposed to use as I’m a clencher and grinder when I sleep. Already I can feel the difference when I wake up.

Bitch: I went to the optometrist and had to wait at least 20 minutes to see him after the assistant did the intake, with that awful air puff test and the blood pressure cuff that squeezed my arm twice…
Brag: …but my vision hadn’t changed by much. I don’t have to order new contact lenses right away, as a nearly full box I already had of dailies is the same prescription as what the doctor gave me, and he said it was okay to slightly overcorrect my right eye, which means I can wear the same prescription contact lens in both eyes and that means I will only need to order one box of dailies.
