Friday Bitch & Brag
July 11, 2025 - The Technobabble Edition: glitchy apps, soda free life, and passages
Paid subscribers get access to The Corinne Channel: a roundup of what I’ve been consuming over the past week, from eats & drinks to media. It’s included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

It’s that time again, dear readers. Let’s circle up!
Bitch: Once again I need to break up with Domino’s Pizza because the franchise near me has the most inaccurate tracker system setup. The tracker within the Domino’s app tells you when your order is done and when it will arrive. However, the app version that this franchisee is using will say the pizza’s arrived when it’s actually another 25 minutes away.
Brag: It has now been 25 days since I last had a Coke, or any other soda! (Not counting Poppi as that’s prebiotic and relatively good for you, as sodas go.)

Bitch: Why do all these streaming services make it so damn hard to find your watchlist or queue? I am not paying you people to bury the watchlist I’ve carefully curated so you can promote whatever stupid crap you’ve blown the PR budget on this week, like “Golden Bachelors on Love Island” or “Real Sister Wives of the Delta” or “Snakes on a Plane 2: Electric Boogaloo.” Give me a damn icon or something!
Brag: It took me 20 minutes to get Pops’ Apple account fixed and signed up for Apple TV so he could watch a big Tigers game tonight via their Friday Night Baseball programming. When he called me this afternoon, he referred to this technological challenge as a “baseball crisis” which still has me chuckling, but if you know Pops you know his love of baseball runs deep and should not be mocked.

Bitch: The first librarian to work at my grade school passed away last week—she made it to 106, though the last few years of her life were not particularly easy. I remember her pretty well and her big smile whenever I came into the library, which was quite often.
Brag: My uncle turned 90 today and is doing pretty well. Pops and I sent him flowers and apparently he was really surprised and touched to receive them.
This week on The Corinne Channel: a BONUS bitch & brag, short story collections, and more!
