Time to circle up!
Bitch: If we’re supposed to recycle pizza boxes, then why don’t the pizzerias use a wax paper liner under the pizza so there’s no stray cheesy bits or greasy spots on the cardboard? Because in my area, you can’t recycle any recyclable food containers unless it’s clean. Make it make sense!
Brag: In the last few months I found Cado avocado ice cream at a specialty grocery and loved the creaminess and flavor, which sometimes is lacking with dairy-free ice cream options. I tried the mint chocolate chip flavor and it was perfect to finish off a spicy and/or garlicky meal.
Bitch: This past week we had a new ant invasion and I had to put down another Terro trap. Whenever I’m dealing with ant invasions, for some reason I grumble about hormigas, which is the Spanish word for ants. I’m way more fluent in French, but it’s more satisfying to carry on about hormigas than fourmis (French for ants).
Brag: Since Easter I’ve been talking with Deena* a lot more and it’s been really nice to reconnect. The time we spent apart turned out to be good, as now we’re both able to be good friends to each other without falling back into old patterns that weren’t helpful for either of us.
Bitch: Last summer I bought myself a pair of Soundcore Anker noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones as a reward for being a big girl and going to the dentist to deal with my teeth issues. It was a wise investment and I use the headphones often, but I periodically have issues with getting them to fully recharge. This week was particularly annoying, as I connected the headphones to the charger overnight and woke up to find they still had a low battery level. I finally used some canned air to spray inside the connector end of the charging cord and that helped, because when I reconnected the charger to the headphones and let them sit for a few hours, the headphones had a full battery.
Brag: For years I’ve been washing my clothes on the delicate cycle and/or cold water whenever possible, and avoiding any fabric softener, in order to keep them lasting longer. Recently I read that drying laundry on low heat is more energy efficient and less damaging, so I’ve been trying it out on my clothes and it’s worked very well.

Many, many thanks to the folks who sent items from my wish list! The cats and I appreciate your generosity so much. If anyone would like to send the cats the fishy-flavored wet food on the list, we would all be very grateful (especially Rooney, as he is a seafood lover).
