Bitch: I am missing Ippie a lot, and I suspect HM is missing her even more as she was his shadow this year, spending lots of time with him during the day and sleeping on his bed at night. Still hard to believe she is gone.
Brag: I received so many kind messages from friends, family, colleagues, and others, not to mention all the generous donations to cover expenses for Ippie. I am so very grateful to everyone for their love and support.
You can support me & my writing by recommending A Life of Moxie to others. I also accept donations via PayPal or Venmo, if you’re so inclined.
Bitch: The weekend before school started, I sewed a carry case for my reading glasses/pens using a YouTube tutorial that instead of narration, featured a damn song which was NOT full of guidance on seam allowances or interfacing…
Brag: …but despite that error in judgment by the tutorial creator, I made a nice little carry case I’ve been wearing to school every day on a lanyard. And I used some Maryland flag print cotton that a sewing group buddy gave me. I like this case so much I’m going to make a few to sell at Busy Birdies Studio.
Bitch: CVS has the most cumbersome automated phone system ever. I had issues with getting Rooney’s epilepsy meds filled (and these are meds he’ll need to take daily for the rest of his life), but in order to actually speak to a pharmacist I had to leave a voicemail and wait for them to call me back. Do better, CVS!
Brag: On Wednesday evening, I walked with my neighbor Vicki* and her two dogs, and being able to chat about all sorts of topics was really fun and good for my soul. Because we grew up in the same area, it turns out she went to a school where I knew many people, and we had fun discovering our shared connections.
This week on The Corinne Channel: a BONUS bitch & brag, charming prequels, my favorite musical pick-me-up, and more!
