Bitch: I’m thinking we need to stop using the word “unseasonably” in reference to weather, because what are seasons anymore in a world going through undeniable climate change? It’s been in the high 90s here since Labor Day, and it’s disgusting.
Brag: I had a great video chat with a dear friend about making products for her online shop. She loves what I’m doing, and wants to support my work, and I feel excited about Busy Birdies Studio and this fantastic opportunity…
Bitch: …so I updated my Busy Birdies Studio website yesterday to reflect what’s currently in stock, only to see that my updates aren’t in place when I pushed the staging site to live. Oh technology, why do you hate me so?
Brag: I made a packing list and have been tossing random items into my travel bag over the course of this week. When I was traveling a lot more for work, I learned that getting items into the bag, but not necessarily travel-ready, made it much easier to finalize my packing the day/night before leaving.

Bitch: Earlier this week the shower curtain rod crashed down as I was preparing to take a shower. Those of you who are short like me (I am 5’2” on a good day) know how much of a pain it is to reposition a tension rod to the proper height while ensuring you don’t fall off the stepstool/chair AND that the rings and attached curtain/liner don’t slide off as you’re balancing the rod like you’re an amateur acrobat who didn’t make the cut for Cirque du Soleil. Add to this process an exceptionally tight tension rod and it made for a lot of cursing.
Brag: Today I ate some raw veggies at lunch and not just leftover pizza. You’ll have to take my word on this one.
