Exclusive for paid subscribers: the Corinne Channel is a roundup of what I’ve been reading, watching, and listening to over the past week. This list will be included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

Another week of school ends and this afternoon there were free donuts in the staff lounge, whoo! Gather ‘round, folks!
Bitch: Several months ago, I searched everywhere I could think of for my USB charger plug that I use for traveling. It wasn’t in the usual spot where I keep it, and I couldn’t figure out where I would have left it…
Brag: …but on Sunday, I organized my “tech box” where I keep various charging cords, spare batteries, and the carrying pouch for my Bluetooth headphones, and found it inside the headphones pouch. I kinda understand why I stuck the plug in there, as I use that case when I’m traveling, but I also wish I hadn’t changed from my usual routine.

Bitch: Two days in a row I worked with Ms. Hodel*, a paraeducator/co-teacher who took over the classes I was assigned to teach without even discussing it with me first. Her methods in one class wound up making the assignment more confusing for the students, and I spent a lot of time muttering under my mask.
Brag: I got my COVID and flu vaccines after school today, so next week I may mask much less. It’s kinda nice to have my mouth covered if I start muttering to myself (which sometimes involves a lot of curse words)…hmm.
A Life of Moxie is a reader-supported publication. Become a paid subscriber for just $7/month & get access to the Corinne Channel at the end of every Friday Bitch & Brag, plus the ability to comment on all posts.
Bitch: Using Lyft or Uber to get to and from school gets really expensive, and even their options that are supposed to save money don’t save me very much. If I knew the drivers were getting more of that money, I wouldn’t be as annoyed…
Brag: …but this week I found a colleague who lives close to me and she gave me rides home two afternoons in a row. Starting next week, I’ll have a car to use for a month, maybe longer, as Mari will be visiting family overseas.
This week on The Corinne Channel: a BONUS bitch & brag, questionable dramas, a 20 year old earworm, and more!
