Ahhh, Friday. It’s way more significant now that I work outside the house during the week. Let’s circle up!
Bitch: These grocery stores with their digital coupons BS annoy me so much. Why do I need to download an app or visit a website and save a coupon in order to get the lowest price? Just give your customers the lower prices and stop making it an ordeal!
Brag: Pops loaned me his car for the week, which has made my daily commute and after-school errands much easier. Oh, and he’s subscribed now, so wave hello!
You can support me & my writing by recommending A Life of Moxie to others. I also accept donations via PayPal or Venmo, if you’re so inclined.
Bitch: A bittersweet week as Momcat’s birthday was Wednesday. This was the first year I didn’t have Ippie as a source of comfort, so that added an extra twist to my usual grieving.
Brag: I worked out both days last weekend and felt so good afterwards…now I need to figure out how to get in some exercise sessions during the week once I get home from school.
A Life of Moxie is a reader-supported publication. Become a paid subscriber for just $7/month & get access to the Corinne Channel at the end of every Friday Bitch & Brag, plus the ability to comment on all posts.
Bitch: The longer I work at Wagstaff, the more frustrated I get with administration and their unwillingness to make these kids understand there are consequences to their behavior. There’s little accountability or follow-through and often I feel like I can’t do anything.
Brag: For the last two weeks I covered for two different teachers who have exceptionally well-managed classes, from students who were well-behaved and focused on doing their work to lesson plans that made sense. Even if admin cannot get their shit together, the teachers are great—and there are quite a few good kids, too.
This week on The Corinne Channel: a BONUS bitch & brag, vegan breakfasts, the octopus book, women-centric movies, and more!
