I am grumpy, Mercury is retrograde, and the world is going to hell. Let’s circle up!
Bitch: This is the second time I’ve ordered the Victor Allen’s decaf coffee variety pack of K-cups from the online behemoth, and it’s also the second time my box has been nearly 50% Donut Shop Blend K-cups. Yes, the box says “contents may vary,” and yes, the Donut Shop Blend is good, but this is ridiculous.
Brag: I got some cute pajamas from Old Navy that are super comfy & have little stars all over them. I had to hem the pants, but that is what happens when you are short & have a juicy booty.
You can support me & my writing by recommending A Life of Moxie to others. I also accept donations via PayPal or Venmo, if you’re so inclined.
Bitch: Still very behind on sewing Busy Birdies Studio products and I really wanted these done before Thanksgiving. Hard to have a side hustle when there’s not much time or energy to work on it.
Brag: I did make progress over the last 48 hours, with Bond movies and other old movies as my companion. Watch this space for announcements on what’s new in the shop.
A Life of Moxie is a reader-supported publication. Become a paid subscriber for just $7/month & get access to the Corinne Channel at the end of every Friday Bitch & Brag, plus the ability to comment on all posts.
Bitch: On Tuesday morning, I had a hysteroscopy and biopsy under twilight sedation, which was not a fun experience, to put it very simply. On Wednesday, the results came back saying that there was no endometrial tissue in the sample—a major annoyance for the gynecologist who did the procedure (she got images with the scope, and she says she knows she got a good sample, but I don’t have any way of knowing whether she messed up or the lab did) but more so for me, because I went through all of that stress and pain for NOTHING.
Brag: My friend and neighbor Rosie* was my driver for the procedure, and she was very kind and supportive. The people I’ve told have been very sympathetic and understand that it’s very hard for me to feel thankful or grateful about anything this week. As of now, I’m scheduled for another transvaginal ultrasound in January to see if the endometrial lining is normal or if another biopsy is needed.
This week on The Corinne Channel: a BONUS bitch & brag, post-surgery nosh, a Disney classic, and more!
