Exclusive for paid subscribers: the Corinne Channel is a roundup of what I’ve been reading, watching, and listening to over the past week. This list will be included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.
In case you missed an older Friday Bitch & Brag, you can check out the index here.
Holy crap, it’s December already. Where did the year go? What is time, anyway? Let’s circle up, kids!
Bitch: For several weeks I could not get the dust bag cover on my vacuum to snap shut. I tried multiple times, I convinced myself that the cats broke it, I cursed a lot…
Brag: …then this week I found the owner’s manual online, downloaded it, and discovered that the dust bag cover won’t close if the new bag isn’t properly inserted. I fixed the bag and that damn cover snapped right on. I could have saved myself a lot of cursing. Maybe.
Bonus Item: I’m getting way more compliments on my hair these days, from women of all ages, and that makes me feel better about my decision to go grey. A great haircut makes all the difference.

Bitch: I’ve been looking for a new shampoo to try and last night I went to Ulta to check out what’s available that works for fine/straight hair, isn’t ridiculously overpriced, and smells good. I took a big whiff of Better Not Younger volumizing shampoo and BIG NOPE. It smelled like mothballs and farts. Then I sniffed VERB volumizing shampoo—ehh, smelled reminiscent of baby shampoo and not in a good way. I am open to recommendations.
Brag: On Wednesday morning I woke up to excellent news that Jezebel, the feminist news site that was closed down in early November, is returning. Then today George Santos was expelled from Congress. Sing along with me!

Bitch: I ordered a new journal for next year and 2024 planner pages from that online behemoth, and the order arrived in a way-too-big box. Without any packing material. I’m guessing they ran out of padded mailers or smaller boxes due to Black Friday and grabbed the first box they could find.
Brag: I received an incredibly generous, unexpected gift from a reader. I am so touched by their gesture and grateful that I have an audience that enjoys my content. Thank you again to my lovely patron and to all of you for reading, sharing, subscribing, and commenting.
