Exclusive for paid subscribers: the Corinne Channel is a roundup of what I’ve been reading, watching, and listening to over the past week. This list will be included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

I had use of a car for the last half of this week, so that means I have been able to get out of the house, which was much needed. Even now I’m struggling not to throw on my shoes and drive nowhere in particular. Let’s circle up!
Bitch: I am not pleased about the GOP primaries. Nor am I pleased about congressional primaries. Enough said.
Brag: Back in August, I wrote about losing a tiny silver hoop earring and debated over whether or not to replace it. Guess what was lying on the shower tile on Sunday? Yep, the lost silver earring! I have no idea where it was—maybe stuck inside something?—but I’m thrilled it finally showed up. Cleaned up the earring, along with my other sterling silver jewelry, on Monday and it’s safely tucked in my jewelry box.
Bonus Item: Max the cat brought a fresh kill of a tiny mouse to Pops and Mari, but Mari believes he was punishing her for something she did—I’m still not sure what she did, exactly, but she’s new to being a cat mom and has certain expectations of what constitutes acceptable cat behavior. I cannot tell you the number of conversations we have had about her concerns over Max’s balls, nor do I think you really want to hear them. [Short version: He has yet to be neutered, but it’s on the agenda.]
Being sick for half of February meant my income took a major hit. I hope you’ll consider a paid subscription. You can also send a donation via PayPal or Venmo.
Bitch: I keep cleaning up old digital files, but the volume never seems to go down. Make it make sense!
Brag: On the flip side, I got Outlook set up and I’m using it for my professional email account(s). I also emptied the Windows recycle bin, which apparently had files going back to 2020. Made me slightly nervous to empty the bin, as my brain kept screaming OMG OMG are you sure about this?! I am living on the edge over here. On the EDGE.
Paid subscriptions are a key component of my income. Try out a monthly subscription for $7, cancel at any time.
Bitch: Target’s partnership with Ulta is making their beauty and personal care section way too overwhelming and maze-like, with all the displays and short shelving and end caps. I couldn’t find the cotton swabs, and an associate gave me a weird look when I asked if they would be restocking the empty display (which was still labeled for the Up&Up brand of cotton swabs)—but then I found them in another location that didn’t make logical sense to me. Stop confusing people, Target! I just want some damn generic Q-Tips, not a freakin’ scavenger hunt!
Brag: I got to see some friends on Thursday, two of whom gave me their empathy, time and attention as I vented about several topics. Boz* also gave me a come-to-Jesus/kick in the ass talk, which I had requested, about entrepreneurship, marketing, and business. Earlier today, I ran into a neighbor and she offered some suggestions about work opportunities, too, including her own personal experience with one job I’d been considering. (No spoilers—I’ll share if I end up pursuing it.) Feeling very, very grateful for how the universe brings me the messages I need to hear through the people I care about.
This week on The Corinne Channel: finally reading a Pulitzer Prize winning novel, sweet animated features, and more!
