Exclusive for paid subscribers: the Corinne Channel is a roundup of what I’ve been reading, watching, and listening to over the past week. This list will be included at the end of each Friday Bitch and Brag.

Thursday marked the halfway point between birthdays for me. It’s not as much fun celebrating half-birthdays now that I’m over 50, but I can still have cake, right? Let’s circle up!
Bitch: Debby is such a bitch—I’m talking about Hurricane Debby, of course, who came in like an angry white lady at Walmart with a shopping cart full of returns. Tornado watches were in effect for 17 million people across the Mid-Atlantic, people died down south, there’s flooding today in Baltimore and Annapolis.
Brag: Tim Walz as Kamala Harris’s running mate and his level-headed, inclusive approach to governing is elevating democracy to a whole new level. As the offspring of two Midwesterners, I am pleased to see it.
End of Summer Sale on Paid Subs
A Life of Moxie subscriptions are on sale now through September 2—get 24% off either monthly or annual subscriptions for one year. Paid subs help get me through long stretches when my client roster is low (like now).
You can also support me & my writing by recommending A Life of Moxie to others. I also accept donations via PayPal or Venmo, if you’re so inclined.
Bitch: These ants are going to make me lose my mind. A friend told me to use outdoor Terro traps so that will stop them before they even come inside, but if the ants already congregate around the indoor Terro traps, and their numbers seemingly continue to grow, who’s to say they will actually stop if there are outdoor traps, too? I just want them GONE.
Brag: I saved some money and was able to finally get my hair cut last week. I wanted a shaggy bob à la Debbie Harry in the ‘80s, but currently my hair is more bob than shag. I’m fine with this, as I know it will grow out and get to more of what I envisioned—for now it’s a perfect bob with some soft layers to it. My stylist Erin is fabulous, as is the salon where he works, and it’s always a pleasure to go there.
Rooney Update
Rooney had some vomiting yesterday morning—not sure what triggered it, but as always I’m concerned. He’s much better today, thankfully.
Later this month, Rooney will get follow-up bloodwork to determine the level of phenobarbital in his system so that the dosage can be adjusted. I anticipate the exam and bloodwork will cost around $400.
Donations of $13 in honor of Rooney’s birthday month would be wonderful. I also appreciate your shares on social media and email to your friends and family who love cats.
Bitch: I spent several days this week feeling very tired & out of it, so that meant several things on my weekly task list didn’t get done…
Brag: …but I did accomplish some important tasks involving what’s next for me career-wise, and next week I’ll have some news to share on that subject.
This week on The Corinne Channel: sitcoms, Midwest sweethearts, and more!
